Delete your Al-Salam app account

The Al-Salam app works without an account. This page is for people who signed in with an email address and now want that account, and the data backed up with it, deleted.

The quickest way: in the app

Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account. Your account and all backed-up data are removed from our servers straight away. Signing out alone does not delete anything.

What is deleted

• your account and the email address you signed in with;
• your backed-up prayer log, streaks and app preferences;
• any urgent-announcement notification registration made while you were signed in.

Data kept only on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app. If you turned on urgent announcements without being signed in, switch them off in Settings → Notifications, or uninstall the app, to end them. Anonymous crash reports hold no account details and expire on their own. Details are in the app privacy policy.

Enter the email address you used to sign in. To make sure the request really comes from you, we will email that address to confirm before deleting anything. We delete the account normally within 30 days and let you know when it is done. You can also write to app@mpicbrampton.com from that address.
